Paul D. Tatom, 86, of Sullivan, passed away at 2:17PM Friday November 28, 2008 at Breckenridge Nursing Home in Sullivan.

He was born in Craig, Colorado August 26, 1922 to Benjamin Tatom and Eula Covington Tatom.

Paul was a member of the First Christian Church in Sullivan, American Legion Post #139, VFW Post #2459, Moose Lodge, and the 40-8 Club in Vincennes. He was a self employed painter and decorator, and owned and operated Sandy and PT's restaurant in Sullivan.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Maxine Tatom in 1980, one son Raymond Tatom, and four brothers; Ray, Clyde, Robert, and Eugene Tatom, and one sister, Juanita Roseberry.

Survivors include his wife Sandra Hollifield Tatom, two sons; William Tatom of Sullivan, James Tatom and wife Shirley of Sullivan, two step sons, Rick Owings and wife Lisa of Jasonville, Randy Owings of Dugger, five daughters Sharon Hayes and husband Boyd of Sullivan, Cathy Beard and husband Ralph of Terre Haute, Cindy Coleman and husband Lonnie of Sullivan, Judy Lookebill and husband Rick of Brazil, Melessa Lawson and husband Rick of Lewis, one step daughter, Christina Compton and husband John of Springfield, Ma., several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11:00AM Tuesday December 2, 2008 at Banks and Brust Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Losch officiating, and Military services by the Sullivan, Shelburn and Hymera Legions and the Sullivan VFW Post.

Burial at a later date in the Center Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00PM until 8:00PM Monday.
