Margaret Grace Emig, 95, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017. Margaret was born in York and lived in Bay County since 1972.

A devoted military wife, she and her late husband, Col. John W. Emig, lived all around the world during his 33 years service with the U.S. Air Force.

She was a long-time member of the Parker United Methodist Church, and a member of the Ladies of the Shrine and Retired Officer's Wives Club.

Survivors include her children, John Emig, Jr. and James Emig, both of Panama City and Sara Moody of Gettysburg; her grandchildren, John Robert Moody of Columbia, Sara Moody-Wilhelm of Gettysburg, Matthew Emig of Cheyenne, WY, and Andrea Emig of Denver, CO; great-grandchildren, Alexzander Moody, Allison Moody, Aspen Emig, Gwendolyn Emig and Liliana Emig; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at the Parker United Methodist Church with Rev. Gary Stringfellow officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. until service time at 11. Kent-Forrest Lawn, Panama City, is assisting the family.
