Mrs. Johle, wife of Adolph C. Johle of Clifton, died suddenly at her home in the afternoon of August 8th. She had been in ill health for some months, but able to do her housework, and her sudden death was a shock to all who knew her. She was only in her fifty-third year, having been born on November 25, 1881.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Johle leaves to mourn her going, five sisters and six brothers: Mrs. Fritz Johle, Brenham, Texas; Mrs. Oscar Anz, Mrs. Rube Rachuig, Mrs. Willie Meinkowsky and Mrs. Will Krueger, all of Clifton; Gus Ickert of Roundtop, Texas; Will Ickert of Carmine, Texas; Otto Ickert of Beaumont, Texas; August Ickert of Olney, Texas, and Charlie and Alex Ickert of Clifton; also J. G. Fincher of Clifton, who was reared in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Johle.
Deceased has been a member of the Lutheran Church since childhood.
Funeral services were conducted at the home by Rev. E. N. Scarlett, and her body was laid to rest in the Clifton cemetery.
