Mrs. Rose Hertel, 85, 501 E. 6th, died Wednesday at Hadley Regional Medical Center.

Surviving are three sons, Albert, Glendale, Ariz., Joe, Denver, Colo., Fred, Hays; four daughters, Mrs. Herman J. (Nellis) Pfannenstiel, Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Herb (Ida) Gerstner, Wichita, Mrs. Aaron H. (Frieda) Wiesner, Plainville, Mrs. Elmer (Bertha) VonFeldt, Hays; three brothers, Martin Wendler, Wichita, Leo and Tony, both of Ness City; one sister, Mrs. Leonard Stephens, Healy; 44 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at noon Saturday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church with burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery. There will be a parish wake service at 8 p.m. Friday at Brock's North Hill Chapel. Friends may call at the chapel after 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
