Robert J. Imgrund Sr., 84, of Midland, formerly of New Stanton, passed away Saturday evening, Nov. 8, 2008, at Friendship Ridge, Brighton Township.

Born Jan. 16, 1924, in Schellsburg, he was a son of the late Urban and Margaret Imgrund, and had been a resident of Midland for the past year.

He was the owner of Mt. Laurel Mobile Homes in New Stanton for 37 years, was a member of St. Blaise Parish family, Midland, and was a proud veteran of the Navy as a Seabee, having served during World War II. He was also a life member of the American Legion.

Surviving are his wife of nearly 66 years, Kathryn Fetter Imgrund; his daughter-in-law, Maria Imgrund, of Midland; three grandchildren and their spouses, Robert F. and Debbie Imgrund, of Lorain, Ohio, Eric M. and Amber Imgrund, of Stowe, Ohio, and Almondina and Ethan Moore, of Pittsburgh; two sisters; and four brothers.

Preceding him in death were his son, Robert J. Imgrund Jr., on Dec. 6, 1999; a sister; and a brother.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the SCHWERHA-NOLL FUNERAL HOME, 600 Beaver Ave., Midland. Online condolences may be shared at www.nollfuneral.com.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Blaise Church by his pastor, Father John Jordan. Interment with full military rites by the Beaver County Special Unit will follow in Beaver Cemetery. Members of the special unit are asked to meet at the cemetery chapel at 11:20 a.m.
