Shirley had worked at the Cleveland Clinic as a receptionist. She later volunteered for 11 years at Adena Regional Medical Center, accumulating over 3900 hours. She was a member of Walnut Street United Methodist Church.
Services were entrusted to Haller Funeral Home of Chillicothe, Ohio.
