Kenneth Rigler, 77, died December 14, 2008 at Broadway Manor Health Care Center. He was born June 1, 1931 in Newton, Kansas to Rev. George and Mary (Montgomery) Rigler.

He graduated from Forest High School in Dallas and attended two years at Oklahoma City University. On September 23, 1955 he married Anita Rigler. They made their home in Marion, Kansas where he was the owner of Marion TV and Electric.

When the family moved to Muskogee, he worked for Beal's Electric Company for several years and then was the owner of Four-R-Electric Company. He was a workaholic and enjoyed going to work every day, often leaving his house early in the morning and coming home late in the evening. Working with stained glass was one of his hobbies and he designed and made many beautiful lamps. Kenneth was also known for his unique sense of humor.

In 1987, at Salt Lake City, Kenneth was a heart transplant recipient which gave him 21 years of extended life.

Kenneth was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of Trinity Lodge #502. He enjoyed his membership in the Bedouin Shrine and participated in their activities whenever his health permitted. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. For several years he was the Scoutmaster at Parkview School.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sheryl Graber, and grandson, Andy Graber. Survivors include his wife, Anita and son, James Rigler and his wife, Susan of Tahlequah. Other survivors are brothers, John Rigler and his wife, Mary, of Oklahoma City and George Rigler and his wife, Barbara, of Ventura, California; sisters, Ellen Worden of Oklahoma City, and Pat O'Neal and Jesse Miles of Ft. Worth, TX; sister-in-law, Verlene Kaufman and Merlin of Moundridge, Kansas; grandchildren, Kasey Falling and husband, Noah, of Tahlequah and Kymie Powell and husband, Nathan, of Tahlequah; three great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Celebration of life services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Trinity United Methodist Church with Rev. Mary Ewing officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gene Dye, Marshall Clayton, Charles Downing, Donald Nelson, Rick Radloff and B.K. Smith.

Funeral service arrangements are under the direction of Foster-Petering Funeral Home.
