Theo had a 30-plus-year career with Texas Utilities, retiring in
1981. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army. Theo's
hobbies included woodworking, especially making beautiful pens and
pencils for his friends and family. He loved to "shoot the bull"
with friends at Mary's Cafe in Tin Top, faithfully having his
coffee every morning with the "guys."
Theo was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Ruth Geraldine;
a son, Melvin Miner; parents; and a brother, Kenneth.
Survivors: Brothers, Harold "Buster" and Royce; sons, John Miner
and wife, Janice, and Fred Tasker and wife, Debra; daughters,
Vickie Capers, Connie Johnson and husband, Don, and Linda Schiefer
and husband, David; grandsons, Corey Miner, Todd Miner, Jason
Tasker and Zachary Capers; granddaughters, Melanie Emmel, Lori
Boyd, Neysa Johnson, Stephanie Reiter and Robbin Capers;
great-grandchildren, Mason Emmel, Reese Emmel, Claire Miner, Luke
Emmel and Emory Tryon; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of
loving friends.
