Judy Lynn Painter, of Vacaville, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday morning, Dec. 17. Born in Fairfield, she was a loving partner, daughter, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.

A longtime resident of Vacaville, she was employed by Castle & King for the past eight years. She previously worked for The Brick Yard in Vacaville and Aggora Building Supply and Stone Products.

As always, family came first to Judy and she was very happy about working locally in town after years of commuting.

Judy was a hard worker and a doting mother who loved her children and family more than life itself. She was also a wonderful daughter who worked diligently to ensure that her mother was taken care of and was treated special.

She had so much pride for her children and their accomplishments, and you could always find her either watching her daughter coach Vaca High Varsity Girls basketball games or volunteering as the Little League treasurer when her children were younger.

Judy loved attending her children's high school football and basketball games.

Over the past 16 years, she was involved in the Stan Foster Memorial Golf Tournament, as the committee treasurer, a position she was very proud of and enjoyed, as she was able to spend time with her family and friends and give back to the community.

No matter what she did, she was a natural born leader and was instrumental in establishing Venard Trucking, a family run business led by her and her loving partner, Bill.

She leaves behind countless family members and friends including the love of her life of 15 years, Bill Venard; mother, Mary Foster; daughter and son-in-law, Andrea (Painter) Kamman and Duane Kamman; sons, Lake Painter and Josh Venard; sisters and brother-in-laws, Sandra and David Esparza, Nancy and Donald Vasquez; brother, David Foster; as well as many nieces and nephews, including Olivia and Michael Trudell, Donny Vasquez, Gabe and Karen Esparza, Chris and Tracy Vasquez, Carla and Christina Esparza, Kevin Vasquez and many great nieces and nephews throughout Vacaville and surrounding areas.

Judy was a positive person who always made people smile when you were around her. Everywhere she went, she made people feel important and listened to them. She was a wonderful friend to so many.

There is just not enough words to describe how wonderful a person that Judy was.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Foster, and her brother, Stan Foster.

A service will take place at 10 a.m. today at The Presbyterian Church at 425 Hemlock St.
