KILLED WORKING FOR ANOTHER

A half hour after starting work as a substitute for a track-walker in a rail road yard at Philadelphia, Michael A. Hechler, Philadelphia, but formerly of Ashland, was instantly killed when hit by a train.

Deceased is survived by his widow, nee Sallie Whitaker, Centralia, who is a sister of David Whitaker of this city; one daughter and one son, also the following brothers and sisters: George, Mauch Chunk; Mrs. George Dillman, Minersville; Mrs. Edward Todd and Jacob of Ashland and Adam, Daniel, Lewis and Bella, Philadelphia.

The funeral party will arrive in Mount Carmel on the 3:34 Reading train Thursday afternoon and will go to Centralia by trolley car where burial will be made in the I. O. O. F. cemetery. Funeral Director James A. Dyke will have charge.

Fraternally, Mr. Hechler was affiliated with Camp No. 84 P. O. S. of A. at Ashland and the L. O. O. M. at Philadelphia.
