Little Prairie (Special)-funeral services for Neil Hutton, 26,were held Friday afternoon at 2:30 from the Little Prairie church. He passed away at his home here Tuesday, December 6. Paster John Fletcher, assisted by the REV.C.E.Haynes of Dundas, officated. The Northfield Male Choir, of which he was a member, sang three numbers "Beautiful Savior", Crossing the Bar and The Lord's Prayer. Pallbearers were Lowell Albers, Merton Hoover, Wayne Little, Forest Patterson, Howard Albers and James Code. Interment wwas in Meadow Ridge Mem Park, Faribault. Neil Walker Hutton, youngest son of Gilmer Hutton and Myrtle Walker Emery Hutton, was born on Sept 9, 1923 in Little Prairie where except for five years spent with his family on a farm east of Northfield, he lived his entire life. He attended grade school in dis No. 15 and No. 22 and was graduate from the Northfield High School in 1941. He took a course at Dunwoody Institute and engaged in farming with his father and brother. Neil was a member of the local church and he was a leader in its youth organization. As a member of he music committee, he organized and directed a Youth choir. For nearly 2 years he had been ill and for the past several months had been confined to his home. Surviors are his parents, Mr and Mrs G.D.Hutton, 1 brother Cecil, a nephew and several cousins. Among those from away attending the funeral were Mrs Earl McGrane of Detroit Lakes, David Brown of Milbank, S.D., Mr and Mrs Clifford Schrader and sone Robert, and Miss Francis Hutton of St Paul, Raymond Little of Aberdeen,S.d., Lyle Schrader and Harlan Hatfield of Minneapolis, Mr and Mrs James Hatfield of McGrath, Mr and Mrs.F.J.Hutton and sons, Hubert and Charles of Farmington, Adolph Erickson and Misses victoria and Darlene Bateman of Long Prairie.
