Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock for A.A.Hutton, who passed away Sunday afternoon, April 13 at his home. The services were conducted by the Rev.Harold Clark in Little Prairie church of which Mr Hutton had been a member during his entire life and of which he was an active member during his earlier years. The Rev.C.E. Haynes of Dundas assisted at the services. Interment was in Groveland cemetery, Dundas, with six grandsons, Cecil and Neil Hutton, Lyle and Carlton Schrader, Herbert Hutton and Gerald Schrader, serving as pallbearers. Amos Adams Hutton, son of Amos and Rebecca Griffen Hutton was born September 7, 1864,in Unionville, Centre cty, PA. He came to Minnesota at the age of four years with his parents who located on the farm south of Dundas which has been his home the rest of his life. He was married December 31, 1891, to Anna Hatfield of the Little Prairie community, and she preceded him in death August 5, 1901. To this union were born five children, Gilmer of Little Prairie, Frank of the Farmington, Mrs Clifford Schrader (Mary)of St Paul, Anna at home, and Mrs Lawrence Schrader (Margaret) of Dundas. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, a sister, Mrs Mary Lamb of Waterville, and 22 nieces and nephews. Mr Hutton served on the town board for 15 years and was also a member of the school board for many years. He saw many changes in the years since he came as a boy by ox team from Faribault to his farm home. He was much interested in the group of B-29's which flew over his home on Saturday. Mr Hutton was the oldest living settler in Little Prairie. Fairbault Daily News April 15, 1947.
