ROSEMOND LODGE
Rosemond M. Lodge
Age 91, formerly of Vienna, VA and Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully, with her sons and their families by her side at Wilmington Hospital, Wilmington, DE. With her loving spirit and elegance intact, she left us to join her husband at 6:30am on Sunday December 21, 2008.
She received her B.S. degree from Russell Sage College of Nursing. For many years she was the head nurse at the Albany, NY Hospital Nursery, the College of William and Mary Infirmary. She was also the school nurse for Alfred I. DuPont School District. She loved being a homemaker, creating wonderful meals for her family, entertaining friends particularly her bridge club.
Rosemond was predeceased by her husband, Edward F. Lodge, Jr. in 1985. She is survived by her daughter, Rosamond L. Niemeyer and her husband Robert of Vienna, VA, her sons, Edward F. Lodge III and his wife Colleen, James C. Lodge and his wife Pegeen all of Wilmington, DE. She is also survived by her grandchildren Victoria Lodge, Marissa Niemeyer, Charles J. Lodge, Melanie Niemeyer and James Curtis Lodge, Jr.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Foulk Manor North for their wonderful care.
Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth's R.C. Church Sat. January 3, 2009 at 10:30am where friends may call after 9:45am. Interment immediately following at Silverbrook Cemetery.
