Martha Jagodzinski
1929-2008
Martha Josephine Jagodzinski, 78, of St. Joseph, Mo., passed away Sunday, April 27, 2008, at her home.
Mrs. Jagodzinski was born Dec. 4, 1929, in St. Joseph, to William and Jennie Allen.
She was graduated from Central High School in 1948, and worked at Noma Lites several years and was a homemaker.
Martha was a devoted and loving grandmother. She was always helping people and never met a stranger.
She was a Christian. She enjoyed tutoring the neighborhood children in school and helping the neighbors with anything that they needed. She also coached Tony's baseball team. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends and neighbors.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Anthony "Tony" Jagodzinski, in 1987; four brothers, Mitchell, William and Melvin Allen, and Paul Huffman; and three sisters, Elizabeth Hart, Nelly Brahinsky and Mary Allen.
She is survived by her children, Jenny Redman, and husband, David; Tony Jagodzinski, and wife, Patty; and Tammy Brown, and husband, Danny, all of St. Joseph; and grandchildren, Emily and Miles Redman, Shelby and Danyell Brown, and Kendra and Darren Jagodzinski.
The funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Rupp Funeral Home, St. Joseph. Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery, St. Joseph. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Online condolences and obituaries are at: www.ruppfuneral.com
