A memorial service for Nicole Elizabeth Hayek will be at 1:30 P.M. Saturday, December 20, 2008 at Zumbro Lutheran Church in Rochester with Pastor Glenn Nycklemoe officiating.
Nicole Hayek, 25, passed away (Dec. 10, 2008) at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. She was born on March 8, 1983 to Brenn and Mary Hayek in Rochester. She graduated from Mayo High School in 2001. During that time, she played in 4 state tennis tournaments. Nicole graduated from University of Wisconsin-Stout in 2006 with a major in finance and economics and was captain of her college tennis team. Nicole worked for Polo Ralph Lauren in Dallas, TX. Nicole enjoyed and cherished all family gatherings. She also loved spending time at the family cabin, water and snow skiing, and being with her dogs Jake and Riley.

She is survived by her parents; two sisters, Stephanie Hayek, of Minneapolis, and Kristin Hayek, of Rochester; grandparents Millard and Dorothy Hayek, of Canby, MN and Thelma Nitz Lee, of Northfield, MN; step-grandfather Walter Lee, of Northfield, MN; boyfriend Drew Garner, of Kansas City, MO; many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

Nicole is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Ralph Nitz.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 19, 2008 from 4-7 P.M. at the Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Chapel and an hour prior to the service at church.
