Erma Jizelle Binder, 3 weeks away from celebrating her 11th birthday, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at M.S. Hershey Medical Center.
Born July 25, 1996, she was a daughter of Leon Binder, Jr. and Tiffeny McAnany of Lancaster.
Erma was going to begin 6th grade in the fall. She loved shopping and music. Above all, she loved life, her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Erma is survived by her brother: Oba Leon Binder III; her sister: Janazia Binder; her maternal grandparents: Deborah McAnany and Richard Bedford; her paternal grandparents: Leon Binder, Sr., Deborah Kendig and Beautine Riggens; her maternal great grandmother: Cathleen McAnany; her aunts and uncles: Mike, Emma, Belinda, Michelle, Dagus, Delmar, Tayon, Tanena, Shakeena, Alea, Janisha, Jia and Jose; her godmother Angeline; her godsister Linnazia; and numerous great aunts, great uncles and cousins.
Erma is preceded in death by a brother.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Bright Side Baptist Church, 515 Hershey Ave. Lancaster, with Rev. Louis A. Butcher, Jr. officiating. Viewing will be from 12:00 p.m. to the time of the service. Burial will follow at Mellinger's Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the Gundel Funeral Home, 415 North Duke St. Lancaster, PA 17602. Arrangements by the Gundel Funeral Home, Inc.
