Everett Paul "Buster" Vaughan

Eupora - Everett Paul "Buster"Vaughan, 87, lost his valiant fight for life Tuesday, October 13th, 2009, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora after a brief illness.

A native of the Fame Community, he was born November 4th, 1921 to Beulah and Ola Vaughan. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He loved spending time with his family and friends, fishing, and sitting under his favorite oak tree in his swing. He was a self educated man that was considered by many as a most sincere, funny and humble man. Anyone who met him always remembered him fondly.

Services were 10:00 am Thursday October 15th, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Eupora with Rev Charles White officiating. Burial was in the Clarkston Cemetery. Oliver Funeral Home Directors were in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Ester Gatlin Vaughan of Eupora; five daughters, Jeanie Gordon (Ken) of Tupelo, Linda Nash of Tupelo, Glenda Trawick of Tupelo, Paula Pittman (Bob) of Tupelo, Carolyn Graham (Joel) of Brandon and step-daughter Judy (Mickey) Hodges of Eupora; 14 grandchildren and 1 step grandson; 8 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mae Anderson of Dallas, TX, Dot (Bobby) Barnett of Batesville and Dora Bagwell of Greenwood; one brother William "Sonny" (Barbara) Vaughan of Greenwood. Sister-in-laws Linda Vaughan of Greenwood and Kathy Vaughan of Eupora. Numerous Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Beulah and Ola Vaughan; his first wife and Mother to his five daughters, Opal Bailey Vaughan; sister, Frances; two brothers, Buddy and Deverett Vaughan and brother in laws Jack Anderson and M. L. Bagwell.

Pallbearers were Brian Pittman, Justin Trawick, Josh Nash, Zack Nash, Chris Miller, and Nathan Graham;

Honoree Pallbearers, John Brannon, Ian Graham, Larry Fason and Robert Cooksey.
