Charlene Auriel Hollon, 75 of Georgetown, Texas passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2009. Charlene was born February 6, 1933 to the late Michael Thomas and Daisy Dean Wren Everett.
Charlene Auriel Everett married Wayne Nelson Hollon on October 14, 1951 in Bellville, Illinois. They started their life together there but traveled and lived in several homes over the years. Charlene's home and family were her pride and her love. She had other interests and hobbies but her family was her passion. Charlene was an avid reader, she like to paint and was an excellent seamstress. She worked at the Texas Baptist Children's Home for many years. Charlene and Wayne moved to Georgetown from Oklahoma in 1971, they are active members of Crestview Baptist Church.
Charlene leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 57 years, Wayne Thomas Hollon; children, Wayne Nelson Hollon, Jr. and his wife Thelma, David Hollon and wife Lisa and Ruthie Wilson and husband Jason; brother, Michael Everett; sisters, Sandra Merzbacher and husband George, and Janet Carlisle; grandchildren, Natasha Herman, Lauren Hollon, Lacey Hollon, Adam Hollon, Kate Wilson, and Thomas Wilson; along with a host of other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Everett; sisters, Francis Ann Everett and Dorothy Howse; her grandson, D.J. Herman.
A service celebrating Charlene's life and devotion to the Lord will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2009 at 2:00PM at Crestview Baptist Church, 2300 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas. Interment will follow at I. O. O. F. Cemetery.
