Services Are Today For Ollie Lee Clay

Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. today (Thursday) in the First Osage Baptist church for Ollie Lee Clay, a long-time area resident who died at his home in Grayhorse last Sunday following a long illness.

Rev. Paul Bollinger, pastor, will officiate, and interment will be in Fairfax cemetery, directed by Hunsaker's Funeral home.

Mr. Clay was born Dec. 27, 1897 in Miami, Okla., the son of James T. and Marvella Clay, and died Feb. 8, 1970 at 72 years of age.

He came to the Fairfax area with his parents at an early age and for many years was employed in the oil fields, but for the past 27 years had been an area Farmer.

On Oct. 2nd, 1923 he was united in marriage to Willis Olivia Casey in Independence, Kan., and to this inion 10 children were born, eight daughters and two sons.

He is survived by his wife, Willis, and two sons, Bob and Ollie, of the home in Grayhorse; eight daughters, Mrs. Lyle Stubbs and Mrs. Ralph Kulp, both of Alvin,Texas; Mrs. Dean Stumbaugh, Webb City, Okla.; Mrs. Clyde Benson, San Antonio, Texas, Mrs. Lester Radford, of Pawhuska; Mrs. Paul Anderson, Brazoria, Texas; Mrs. Richard Wilson, Kaw City; Mrs. Lawrence Ray Pickens, Ponca City; three brothers, Ben Clay, Heidelburg, Mi.; Jim Clay, Clinton, Mo., and Joe Clay, Las Vegas, Nev.; two sisters, Ruth Hampton and Golda Youngblood, both of Pawhuska; 15 grandchildren, and many other more distant relatives and friends.

Card of Thanks

We would like to use this means of expressing our sincere appreciation and thanks to everyone for their thoughtfulness and acts of kindness during the recent loss of our loved one. Special thanks to Rev. Paul Bollinger, the ladies of the First Osage Baptist church who served lunch, to Dr. Wurst, Jeannie King, and to our many friends and Neighbors who sent food and flowers. Also Rev, Overlease, Margie Kirk and the pallbearers, Wilbur Cave, Dalmer Buechler, John Tallchief, J. D. Mixon, A. L. Taylor, Bob Hale, Mark Diehl, Walter Strate and Bob Clark, May God bless all of you.
