Joshua Carrier - JOHNSON CITY
Joshua Brock Carrier, 33, 110 Reeser Road, Johnson City, passed away Sunday January 18, 2009, in the Pine Ridge Care & Rehab Center, Elizabethton.

He was a Carter County native. Brock was a 1993 graduate of Unaka High School. He was a Welder, having worked in the Norfolk area and also in Elizabethton. He was a member of the Union Hill Free Will Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Patrice Taylor Carrier; his grandfathers, Brooks Taylor and Brooks Carrier; and grandmother, Margie Campbell. He loved to fish.

Survivors include his wife: Reda Skelton Carrier; His Children: Logan, Dylan, Sarah, Brooks & Elijah Carrier; His Parents: Eugene & Freida Carrier, Elizabethton; His Brothers and sisters-in-law: Shannon Carrier, Matthew and Robyn Carrier, all of Elizabethton, and Matt & Nikki Wilson, Johnson City; His Sisters and brothers-in-law: April & Gary Sams, Heather & Billy Stout, all of Elizabethton, and Heather & Gerald Schultz, Johnson City; His grandmothers: Lucille Taylor and Lillian Carrier, both of Elizabethton; His grandfather: Alfred Campbell, Elizabethton; Several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and his extended family at Pine Ridge Care & Rehab Center.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Roger Hayley and Rev. Chuck Babb officiating. Music will be provided by Dennis Laws and Sherry Peters.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Shannon Carrier, Matthew Carrier, Matthew Wilson, Billy Stout, Gary Sams, Gerald Schultz, Shane Hardin and Wade Hardin.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of his parents: Eugene & Freida Carrier, 156 Peters Hollow Road, Elizabethton.

The family would like to express a special "Thank You" to the Pine Ridge Care & Rehab Staff and Residents , Dr. Andrew Stephen May, Smokey Mountain Dialysis Center, the FMC Dialysis Center and the Nursing Staff of the 5500 Wing of the Johnson City Medical Center for all the love and care shown to Brock and his family.
