Linda Marie Bialk, 61, died Wednesday, January 21, 2009 in Port Huron Hospital following a short illness.
She was born January 19, 1948 in Detroit and has lived here most of her life.

Linda retired in 2006 from Avoca Elementary School after 36 years of teaching.

She is survived by her sister, Gail E. (Art) Lewandowski of Croswell; brother, Lyle A. Bialk of Croswell; nephews, Matt Lewandowski of Ruby; Adam (Gretchen) Lewandowski of Lake Tahoe, NV and grand-nephew Zachary Lewandowski.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents Anthony and Dorathea Bialk.

Funeral services will be 11 am Saturday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. The Rev. Barry Sheldon, Pastor of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Lexington will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Visiting hours are 2-8 pm Friday in the funeral home and 10 am until service time on Saturday.

Memorials in memory of Linda may be given to the Avoca Elementary School.
