Mr. Rice was a lifelong Brunswick resident. He had worked for Sam Johnson, Inc. as a serviceman for over 32 years. He was a member of the St. Boniface Catholic Church and a volunteer for the Brunswick Fire Department. Survivors are his wife Marilyn; son, Timothy Rice and wife, Peggy of Mendon; two daughters, Melissa Swan and husband, James of Brunswick and Ramona Kothe and husband Mike of Salisbury; five stepsons, Jim Goodmon of Columbia, Steve Goodmon and wife, Denise of Raymore, Todd Goodmon of New Franklin, Robert Goodmon and wife Amy of North Kansas City; and Andy Jenkins and wife, Rita of Jacksonville; a step-daughter Elizabeth Shannon and husband, Scott of Keytesville; a brother Keith Rice and wife, Rosalyn of Hazelwood; a sister, Mari Kahn and husband, Mike of Brunswick; his mother-in-law, Frankie Knight of Keytesville; 13 grandchildren; five nieces; one nephew; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Donald Price; and his father-in-law, Shirley F. Knight.
Mass of Christian Burial was held November 4 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Brunswick with burial in St. Boniface Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Michael J. Kahn, Kirk Gunn, Duane Gunn, Donnie Meyer, Sam Johnson III, and Alan House.
Honorary pallbearers were Sam Johnson Jr., Todd Fosse, Bill Doyle, and members of the Brunswick Fire Department.
