Kevin was born in Wichita, KS. to Marcellus and Albertina Werth. Although seemingly healthy growing up, he would black-out during extreme physical activities. At age 18 he was diagnosed with a heart murmur and held off surgery until his was 21. At that point a mechanical heart valve was installed and he was given 10 years to live as technology at the time was not advanced to repair an enlarged heart.

Kevin was always interested in automotive mechanics. After graduating from Mulvane High School he left for Arizona Automotive Technical School for N.A.I.S.E. a four year certification. After graduating from AATS he moved to California to join a Honda automotive dealership as a mechanical technician. Kevin remained in California where he said he could get the most out of life. There he worked as a tire changer on a racing team, sky dived, trout fished, surfed, camped and hiked in the mountains.

Kevin enjoyed working on motorcycles and riding them. He bicycled to work and back to keep in shape. He loved the outdoors and spent as much time as he could "soaking up the rays" as he put it.

Kevin was proceeded in death by: Susan, his younger sister. Surviving siblings: Richard, Raymond, Ryan, Stephanie.

Raymond later passed away in 2004, and his mother Albertina in 1998.
