Larry J. Puetz, 51
Fowler – Larry J. Puetz, 51, of Fowler, died in his home at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, after a 2-1/2-year battle with cancer.
Born Dec. 7, 1955, in Lafayette, he was a 1974 graduate of Benton Central High School and a life resident of the area. He was the son of Alma Windler Puetz of Fowler and the late Leroy Puetz.
Mr. Puetz was a self-employed farmer. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Dunnington.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and family trips to the riverboat.
Surviving with his mother are two sons, Jeremy Puetz (wife: Becky) of Sheldon, Ill. And Mark Puetz (wife: Terri) of Rolla, Mo.; a daughter, Sara Puetz (companion: Shawna) of Champaign, Ill.; his companion, Sara Suiter of Fowler; three sisters, Judy Crumbaugh (husband: Wayne) of Templeton, Carol McCracken (husband: Jeff) of Fort Wayne and Elaine Klemme (husband: Dave) of Monticello; a brother, Kevin Puetz (wife: Julie) of Fowler.
Friends may call 3-8 p.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Dunnington, IN, with Rosary at 3 p.m. Service will be 10 a.m. Friday, Sept 28, 2007, at the church, Father Donald Gross officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Dunnington. Also surviving are grandchildren, Emma, Alexis, Lydia, & Hannah Puetz; and a sister-in-law, Elaine Puetz of Fowler. He enjoyed being with friends and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Eric Puetz; a nephew Alex Puetz; a sister-in-law, Lynn Puetz; a brother-in-law, Don Scherer. Memorials may be made to Serenity Hospice Foundation of Benton County Cancer Association. Yuill-Shoemaker Funeral Home, Boswell, IN, assisted the family with arrangements.
