George, age 71, died at Salina Regional Health Center. He was the son of Vernon and Leta (Jackson) Osborn. He graduated from Clifton High School and served in the US Army. He owned/operated Sundown Kennels for 25 years. He married Carol Short but later divorced. He married Sylvia Stites in December 1973 in Manhattan, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his mother and his sister, Ramona Geisler. Survivors include hiw second wife, his step-children, Toni Hoover and John Stites, his sisters, Marjorie Shea and Martha Woodbury, and five step-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Chapel in Clay Center. Burial was in Pleasant View Cemetery in Vining.
