Born in Port Arthur to Claus and Nellie Busch he had lived in Nederland for fifty years.
He was a 1939 graduate of the Port Arthur High School, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Nederland. He also served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII.
He retired from Texaco Refinery in Port Arthur as a Lab Technician, with forty years of service, also sang tenor in the Texaco Men's Choir.
He was preceded in death by his two sons, Zane Martin Busch, and Eric Alden Busch, also his daughter Claudia Shannon.
Survivors include his wife, Chris Busch; his son, Dr. David Busch and his wife Cara; his daughter-in-law, Tanya Busch; two sisters, Anna Taylor and Alice Rolle; his brother, Henry Busch and his wife Eilene; six grandchildren, Yukah Busch, Montana Busch, Sierra Busch, Sherri Carpenter, Rusty Nyland, and Paige Nyland.
