Established "Ball Ranch" on Friant Road

Harry met Pearl while she was working at the Floyd Gibson Store. He built their honeymoon home at the present location of the Clovis Veterans Memorial Building (5th and Hughes). He built a grain mill directly west of his home (5th and Clovis) and grain storage near third and Clovis Ave.

In 1916 Harry moved his family (Azalea, Willis, Isaac and Helen) to a ranch located on Friant Road. There were no buildings on the property. Father-in-law Frank Drury moved into a small house eventually built on the property. The Ball family all shared a one room house on the property for a time.
