Kenneth E. Jennison, 76, of Lima, Ohio, passed away Wednesday morning, Jan. 28, 2009, at his residence. Services are 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4 at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home. Masonic services are 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3. Entombment is at Memorial Park Mausoleum in Lima, where military rites will be performed by VFW Post 1275.

Visitation is 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3 at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home, 506 North Cable Road in Lima.

He was born Sept. 29, 1932, in Chardon, Ohio, to Chester E. and Beulah M. Centner Jennison. He married was Dec. 19, 1951 to Glenna Jeane Arnold, in Lafayette, Ohio, who survives in Lima. They were divorced in 1981. In Lima, he was married Nov. 15, 1983 to Joyce L. Conaway-Redman, and she survives in Lima.

Kenneth was a retired pipe fitter with Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local 776, Lima, where he was a member and served his apprenticeship and graduated as a journeyman pipe fitter and served as past business agent. He was a past 52 year-member with the Plumbers and Pipe fitters Local 776 and a lifetime member of United Association of Plumbers and Pipe fitters. Kenneth served on the Lima Building Trades Council Committee and worked on behalf of all local union building trades' members to bring the production of the M-1 Tank to the Lima production facility.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. Kenneth served aboard the U.S.S. Mississippi (EAG-128) out of Norfolk, Va. He also served as a member of the U.S. Naval reserves of Lima. While a member of the U.S. Navy, he served as an infantry marksman and demolition specialist.

Kenneth was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 199, and Fraternal Order of the Orioles Nest 173, American Legion Post 96, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275, all in Lima. He was a member of the Sager Masonic Lodge 513 Free and Accepted Masons of Lafayette.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Alyce G. Earle; and step-daughter, Julie A. Klett.

He is survived by four children: Paula J, Garee and husband, Robert A., of Lima, Cathy A. Williams and husband, Phillip C., Williams of Richmond, Texas, David A. Jennison and wife, Melissa K., of Lima, and Janis M. Sutherly and husband, Richard E. Jr., of Lima; Joyce's son, James R. L. Redman and wife, Megan Shelley, of Port Ritchie, Fla.; two brothers, Richard "Dick" A. Jennison and wife, Mary Ellen, of Wheeling, W.Va., and Jerome "Jerry" R. Jennison and wife, Nancy E., of Rockwall, Texas; one brother-in-law, Richard D. Arnold and wife, Arlene L. Sprague Arnold, of Lima; sisters-in-law: Helen J. Miller and husband, Harold, of Lima, and Mary Jane Hall of Elida, Ohio; grandchildren: Anissa with husband, Neil, Rob with wife, Michelle, Scott with wife Crissy, Jennifer, Phillip T., Elizabeth, Lori, Richard III and Matthew; great-grandchildren: Scott, Cameron, Kaylie, Ethan, Caleb, Alex and Grace; Joyce's granddaughter, Nacole with husband, Joe, and her great-granddaughters, Hailee and Jolee; and his caregiver, Sara A. Holliday and husband, Bryan, of Lima.
