Adelbert Vaughan, age 46, of Hope, Michigan, died October 10, 2006 at Jackson Foote Hospital in Jackson, Michigan.

Adelbert Vaughan, known as Dell Vaughan, was born January 16, 1960 in Flint to Adelbert W. and Garneta (Rose) Vaughan where he was raised and educated.

He served with the U.S. Marines.

On December 30, 1995 he married the former Diane O'Connor in Lewiston.

From an early age Dell always enjoyed the outdoors and exploring new things; he obtained the honor of Eagle Scout at the age of thirteen. He loved fishing, boating and traveling. Dell was a "people person"; he loved to socialize. He owned AH Vaughan Excavating doing sewer installations. He enjoyed his work and the challenges it presented. He was a member of the Eagles Club in Brooklyn, Michigan.

Dell is survived by his wife, Diane Vaughan; sons, Adelbert "Lee" (Ewa) Vaughan of Germany, Cedric (Gina) Vaughan of Wilmington, N.C., Phillip Vaughan of Dundee; 3 step grandchildren, Cezary, Tyler and Bailey; parents, Adelbert and Garneta Vaughan of Rose City; brother, Jeffery (Tracy) Vaughan of Traverse City; sister, Cindy Basalone of Traverse City; grandmother, Doris Painter of Houghton Lake; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Funeral: Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Military rites conducted by the Midland Area Veterans and the U. S. National Guard Marine Corps.

Interment will be in Kittle Cemetery, Mio, Michigan.
