FUNERAL AT LEROY FOR EDWARD EVERETT HEGWALD
The funeral of Edward Everett Hegwald was held at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon, June 24, 1963 at the Methodist church in LeRoy with Wilbur Henderson, minister. Mrs Doris Schweizer and Mrs Meredith Kimberlin; accompanied by Mrs June Hess sang "Whispering Hope" and "I Need Thee Every Hour". Casket bearers were Sam Thiemer, Ronald Schweizer, Edgar Stohs, Arnold Gleue, Bill Rolf, Louis Paul Meyer, Daniel Christy and Frank Decker Jr. Interment was in Graceland cemetery, Burlington.

Edward Everett Hegwald was born February 21, 1925 at LeRoy, Kansas, to Mr and Mrs Henry Hegwald and passed away June 21, 1963 at Coffey County hospital, Burlington, Kansas.

In June 1946, he was united in marriage to Eleanor Louise Colton. Four children were born to bless their home. They are: James Edward, Jean Louise, Janice Sue, and Jeffery Scott.

He attended the Coffey county grade schools and was a graduate of Burlington High School.

He was engaged in farming until they moved to Marysville, Washington, in the Spring of 1959. He worked in the lumber business until his health failed.

He leaves to mourn his loss besides his wife and four children, his parents, Mr and Mrs Henry Hegwald, Burlington; a brother, George Robert, LeRoy; a sister, Mrs Shirley Cox, Wichita and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was baptized in the Christian church early in life and later became a member of the Methodist church. He was very active in his church until his health failed.
