Selma, AL Dec 26--Willis Mahone Hopkins, 63, died at an early hour Tuesday morning at his home, Rt. #1, Plantersville. A life-long resident of Dallas County, he make his home in the Plantersville area for many years. Mr. Hopkins was a member of the Baptist Church. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Maggie Hopkins, three daughters, Mrs. W. P. Davis, Mrs. H. D. Seymore, and Mrs. K. C. Jones, all of Plantersville; five sons W. D., A.Z, and Harvey Hopkins all of Plantersville, and J. P. Friday of Tuscaloosa; also one brother J. C. Hopkins, two sisters Mrs. J. S. Friday of Stanton and Mrs. G. P. Hughes, Beaumont, TX. The funeral will be held at 2 P. M. Wednesday from Fellowship Baptist Church near Plantersville and burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Breslin-Service of Selma in charge.

Note: After his widow's death, he was moved from his grave at Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery and laid to rest beside her at the Christian Cemetery at Plantersville. Four of the couple's unnamed infants remained buried at Fellowship Cemetery. Photo was taken at the family reunion 1935. Willis is the man on the far right and standing in front of him is of his wife, Maggie.
