ZANESVILLE - Evelyn A. Epler, 76, of Zanesville, died at 2:25 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007, at her residence.
She was born Dec. 27, 1930, in Zanesville, graduated from Lash High School in Zanesville and was formerly employed at Galligher's Drug Store. She and her husband, Fred, managed the weekly Armco Bingo for many years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna (Jeff) Joseph of Saint Mary's, Ga., and Tina Adams of Zanesville; one son, Mark Epler of Zanesville; grandchildren, Matthew (Kristina Staffan) Joseph of Dayton, Scott (Danielle Rao) Joseph of Jacksonville, Fla., Kayla Adams, Patrick Epler, Ciera Epler and Rebecca Epler, all of Zanesville; one very special friend and adopted daughter, Robin Epler of Zanesville; one great-grandson, Chase Staffan of Dayton; one sister, Alice Rose Campbell of Oklahoma; one niece; and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Epler; her parents, John and Olive McGee Newton; one sister, Aletha Fern Newton.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, at William Thompson and Son Funeral Home, 5765 Gladstone Drive, White Cottage.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, 2007, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Wesley Union Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care.
