James R. Enck, seventy-three, Hopeland, died at 6:45 p.m. yesterday at his home of a cardiac condition after a two days' illness. He was a son of the late George and Elizabeth Reed Enck and was a retired cigar maker. He was a member of the Hopeland Evangelical United Brethren Church. Surviving are three daughters: Ella, wife of Paul W. Edwards, Hopeland; Mary, wife of Harry L. Shupp, with whom he resided; and Mildred Enck, at home. Two granddaughters, two great grandchildren and two brothers also survive: George and Edwin Enck, both of Hopeland. (Lancaster New Era - Mar 9, 1955)
