She died Thursday, March 20, 2008, at Hooper Care Center.
She was born Dec. 8, 1922, on the farm near Scribner to Gerhard and Clara (Pfeiffer) Rastede.
She was raised near Scribner and graduated from Scribner High School. After high school, she attended Midland College for a year, then taught for a year at a rural school in Cuming County.
She married Harold H. Low on Feb. 7, 1942, near Hooper. After their marriage the couple lived on a farm near Scribner until 1982 when they moved into Scribner.
She was one of the founders and member of the Up & Cuming Extension Club.
She also was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She was involved in WELCA (Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America), taught Sunday school and was a member of the Altar Guild.
Survivors include: her husband; a daughter, Brenda (and husband, Mike) Lamberty of Lincoln; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Vicar Judy Johnson will officiate Monday's service.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Ludvigsen's Scribner Funeral Chapel with family receiving friends from 6-7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to service time Monday at the church.
Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery.
