Robert Louis "R. L." Everett, 68, of Texarkana, Texas, died Friday in a local hospital after a brief illness.

Mr. Everett was born Jan. 3, 1919, in Miller County, Ark. He was retired from Red River Army Depot, a former member of Masonic Lodge No. 672 and was a Knight Templar, a Past patron of border Chapter No. 211 of the Order of the Eastern Star and a veteran of World War II. He was a Baptist and a member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class.
