BASTROP (Special) — Funeral services for Mrs. Louvenia M. Ashley, 72, of Bastrop, were held at 2 p.m. today at the First National Funeral Home Chapel in Bastrop with the Rev. O. W. Hogan officiating, assisted by the Rev. W. J. Wallace. Burial was in Coax Cemetery at Baskin.

Mrs. Ashley died Tuesday morning at Morehouse General Hospital after a lengthy illness.

She was a resident of Cherry Ridge Nursing Home.

Survivors include two sons, Rhodell Ashley of Central City, Ky., and David Ashley of Bastrop; three daughters, Mrs. Dewey Diel of Bastrop, Mrs. Clinton Riley of Star City, Ark. and Mrs. Thelma Cardin of Newellton; two brothers, Clarence Sullivan of West Monroe and George Sullivan of Olla; 27 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Gary Diel, Cecil Diel, Arthur Cheeks, W. T. Diel, Ronny Diel and James Diel.
