Lonnie J. Pratt, 52 of Orestes, IN, passed away suddenly Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008 at St. Vincent-Mercy Hospital in Elwood, IN.
Lonnie was born Dec. 6, 1955 in Elwood, IN, a son of Kenneth L. Pratt and Patricia (Davis) Pratt Rush. He has resided in Orestes since 2000, returning from Texas where he lived for 25 years.
Lonnie was a graduate of Alexandria-Monroe High School-Class of 1974. He also was a graduate of Texas A & M University. He served with the United States Air Force. Most recently he taught 8th grade in the Waco, Texas school system. Lonnie was a member of the Orestes Baptist Church and enjoyed tinkering with cars.
He is survived by his mother, Patricia Rush of Orestes; a brother, Nick Pratt of Alexandria; two daughters, Specialist Vanessa Fricke serving with the United States Army at Tallil AFB in Iraq and Alicia Pratt of Alexandria; a son, Carl Philip Pratt, serving with the United States Air Force at Tyndall AFB, Panama City, FL; two step-brothers; one half-brother; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceded in death by his father; and a brother, Toby Pratt.
Funeral services: Owens Funeral Home, Alexandria, Rev. Edsel Joyner, Orestes Baptist Church officiate.
Graveside services: Marion National Cemetery, Marion.
