Mrs. Norma Ray Barger, 77, died of natural causes April 9 at North Arundel Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born April 5, 1928, in Ohio, she lived in Glen Burnie for 45 years. A homemaker, she enjoyed crafts, church and spending her time participating in church activities. She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, William Craig Barger; one brother; and three sisters. Survivors include two sons, William Barger of McSherrystown, Pa., and Greg Barger of Eldersburg; one daughter, Linda Blurton of Eldersburg; three brothers, Sherman Lanning of Dallas, Charles Lanning of Kent, Ohio, and Thomas Lanning of Wadsworth, Ohio; one sister, Bonnie Bruening of Cleveland; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Messiah United Methodist Church, 7401 Furnace Branch Road, Glen Burnie.
