Geogiana Hampton, 81, of Beaver Dam, died Sunday, Sept. 5, 1999, at Hillside Manor, Beaver Dam. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, Sept. 9, at 11 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, Beaver Dam. The Rev. Jim Gabrele will officiate. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery, Beaver Dam.

Mrs. Hampton was born Feb. 22, 1918 in Beaver Dam, daughter of Albert and Laura (Thill) Linde. She was married to Robert Hampton on July 31, 1937, in Beaver Dam.

She graduated from Beaver Dam High School and worked in food service at the former St. Joseph's Hospital and later in food service at Beaver Dam High School. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for six years and was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and its Women's Society.

Survivors include eleven children, Darlene (Robert) Harmmon of Oshkosh, Wis., Dean (Diane) Hampton of Oro Valley, Ariz., Anita (Richard) Conolly of Las Vegas, Nev., Joyce Hahn of Appleton, Wis., Denis (Nancy) Hampton of Beaver Dam, Janice (Michael) Helser of Madison, Wis., Mark (Diane) Hampton of Portland, Ore., Kevin (Patricia) Hampton of Richfield, Wis., Keith (Lisa) Hampton of Beaver Dam, and Roberta (Thomas) Exferd of Oneida, Wis.; 28 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one brother, Glen (Dorothy) Linde of Beaver Dam; one sister, Lucile (James) Halloran of Brainerd, Minn.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; two infant daughters; one grandson, Noel Davis; and two great-granddaughters, Mary Chester and Renee Patting.

Friends may call on Thursday, Sept. 9, from 10 a.m. to the time of service at St. Peter Catholic Church, Beaver Dam. A memorial fund has been estalished. The Murray Community Funeral Home, Beaver Dam, is serving the family.
