Luke Lawrence Hylden, 18, of Duluth, died accidently Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at his home.

Luke was born Nov. 12, 1990 in Duluth.

He was a senior at Duluth East high School, but was attending classes at Lake Superior College and had plans to attend college in the Twin Cities next year.

Luke was a gentle soul and was loved by many. He was intelligent, imaginative, witty and had a great sense of humor. Music was his true love, and he had a talent for it. After hearing a song a few times, he could pick it out on his guitar.

Luke is survived by his mother, Debbie and his father Eric; his favorite sister, Hannah; grandparents, Barb and Terry Davis, and many, many aunts, uncles and cousins. He also leaves behind friends too numerous to count; his girlfriend, Kelly; and his dog and soul-mate, Johnny Cash.

VISITATION: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday with Wake Prayers at 7 p.m. in the Dougherty Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Monday from 12 noon until the 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary, 2801 E 4th St. Burial will be at Park Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by the Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E 2nd St. (218) 727-3555.
