Cecelia Geiger, age 76, a resident of Pierz, MN died March 15, 1997 at St. Mary's Villa in Pierz.
Funeral services were March 17 at St. Michael's Church in Buckman, MN, with Father Ron Dockendorf, Father Gerald Mischke, and Father Ken Brenny concelebrating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
Cecelia was born on June 6, 1920 to Anna (Marshik) and Theodore Otremba. She was united in marriage with Leo Geiger on June 15, 1943 at St. Michael's Church in Buckman. They farmed on the homestead farm near Buckman. Cecelia worked at St. Mary's Villa for 27 years. Her co-workers and friends were a very important part of her life. She had been a resident of St. Mary's Villa for 5 years. Cecelia was active in Central Minnesota T.E.C.; she was a member of Christian Mothers and loved to spend time with her grandchildren. Her favorite past times were crocheting and taking her daily walks.
Survivors include a son, Ron and wife Twila Geiger of Buckman; daughters, Kathy Langer and husband Jerry of Pierz, Mary Sahr and husband Dave of Little Falls, MN; a sister, Christine Gall and husband John of Pierz; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Leo; a son, Daniel; and a brother, Herman Otremba.
Casketbearers were Marvin Gall, Ken Otremba, Yvonne Herold, Adam Langer, Scott Geiger, Kari and Ann Sahr.
