OKLAHOMA CITY - Marylyn Jo Rix, a homemaker, died Wednesday at an Oklahoma City care center. She was 53.
Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Rix was born in Lubbock and had lived in Fort Worth for most of her life.
She had lived in Oklahoma City for one year.
Mrs. Rix was named Woman of the Year by the women at Abilene Christian University. She was the only faculty member's wife ever to receive the award.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Clyde Antwine Eastern European Fund, care of Memorial Road Church of Christ in Oklahoma City.
Survivors: Husband, Dr. James A. Rix of Oklahoma City; two sons, Ronny Rix of Burleson and Randy Rix of Oklahoma City; daughter, Kim Taylor of Kennedale; mother, Mary McKnight of Fort Worth; brother, Doug McKnight of Fort Worth; grandmother, Cordia Green of Fort Worth; and three grandchildren.
