Rita Pauline Becker, 93, of Muenster died April 7 at Muenster Memorial Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial was held April 11 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Ken Robinson celebrating. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of the McCoy Funeral Home of Muenster. Pallbearers were grandsons, Christopher Lowrey,
Brendan Lowrey, Jason Benton, Stephen Becker, Werner Becker, III, and Michael Becker. Honorary Pallbearers were Joseph Lowrey, Martin Kus and Chris Sanders.
History
Rita Pauline Becker was born April 2, 1919 in Muenster to Leo and Anna Koelzer Rohmer. She was raised on a farm near Muenster. She married Werner Becker, Sr., Nov. 12, 1940 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The couple soon moved to a farm 12 miles southeast of Muenster where the raised their family and operated a dairy. The established a Grade A dairy business and always had a large garden. Rita Pauline Becker canned hundreds of jars of food each year from the garden harvest. She made most of her children's clothes. She
enjoyed housework, cooking, gardening, sewing and quilting. She and her husband moved to Muenster in 2001 after retirement.

Rita Pauline Becker is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Werner and Linda Becker of Hood; daughters and sons-in-law, Monica and Gene Lowrey of Irving and Theresa and Pat Benton of Lindsay; sisters and spouses, Agnes and Scotty McCallion of Phoenix, Ariz., Gertrude Voth of Muenster and Adeline Pettit of Sherman; brother and sister-in-law, Norbert and Ella Mae Rohmer of Muenster; sister-in-law, Gloria Becker of Muenster; 13 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Werner Becker, Sr.; parents, Leo and Anna Rohmer; brothers, Albert Rohmer, Alois Rohmer, Arnold Rohmer, Edward Rohmer and Urban Rohmer; sisters, Mary Rohmer, Eleanor Sicking, Bertha Wooten and Martha McKinney; brothers-in-law, Ben Voth, John Sicking, Bud Pettit, Gerrel Wooten, Martin Becker and Herbert Hundt; and sisters-in-law Ursula Rohmer, Rose Rohmer and Marie Hundt.
