Walt was born the third youngest of nine children to John and Margaret Knabe Klement. He attended Sacred Heart School. He married Eleanore C. Henscheid on January 7, 1941. He was a farmer and dairyman.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanore, and children and spouses: Jeanette Jones, Sharon Wolf, Wayne and Doris Klement, Claude and Debra Klement, Doyle and Carla Klement, Mark and Carol Klement.
