May 1941
Funeral rites will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Newton funeral home for Barney P. Enright, 61-year-old Perry photographer, who died at 1:30 p. m. Friday at his home from a heart attack. Rev. David Thomas, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, will officiate at final services. The deceased was well known in this part of the state. He had operated a studio in Perry for years, having been located with Nelson's Pharmacy on the south side of the square in this city since 1916.
Mr. Enright was born on May 18, 1880, at Janesville, Minn., and was married on December 30, 1932, at Pawnee to Miss Sylvia Tucker, who survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Judith Ann. Friends of the deceased said that he had been complaining of indigestion during the past week, but that he had been in apparently good health throughout the morning Friday. His death came as a surprise and shock to his many acquaintances and to his relatives.
Survivors other than the widow and daughter include his mother, Mrs. P. M. Enright, of Perry; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Lowe of Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Ida McCallum of Fresno; Calif.; and three brothers, John Enright of Tulsa and Fred and Walter Enright of Perry. Pall bearers at Monday's services will be Ned Foster, W. B. Cavitt, Pete DeVilbiss, Arthur Campbell, Earl Luthye, and Gene Osborn.
