Juanita E. Scheer, 86, died at 1:20 a.m. Thursday, November 19, 2015 at her residence. She was born September 4, 1929 in Celina, Ohio, the daughter of the late Frank and Leona (Kellermeyer) Roediger. On June 5, 1948 in New Knoxville, Ohio she married Delbert Scheer and he preceded her in death on October 17, 2012.

She retired as a leasing agent from Landmark Land Co. in LaPlace, LA and Lakewood Homes in Lima, Ohio. She was a former member of St. Anthony’s Auxiliary in Alton and a member of Main Street United Methodist Church in Alton.

Surviving are two daughters: Linda E. Jorges of Alton and Karen L. Nessing and her husband Dr. William Nessing of Florissant, MO; siblings: Ned Roediger of Celina, Ohio and Gloria Wagner of Muncie, Indiana.

Besides her husband and parents she is preceded in death by two brothers: Eugene and Richard Roediger.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Main Street United Methodist Church in Alton with Reverend Tim Pate to officiate. Burial will be at German Protestant Cemetery in New Bremen, Ohio.
