A service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, 2007, in Willamette National Cemetery for Joseph Gerling, who died Nov. 21 at age 87. Joseph Gerling was born March 30, 1920, in Denver.
He served in the Army and lived in the Portland area for more than 50 years. He was a truck driver for Pacific Car Crushing.
In 1939, he married Viola Weiss.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Alice Larson, Jean Wilke and Debra Marshall; sister, Marie Busse; eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
