Aroma Park - Visitation for Evelyn E. Koenig, 70 of Aroma Park, will be at the Cotter Funeral Home in Momence from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday. There will be a wake service at 7 p.m. with Deacon Daniel Hessling officiating.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Dennis Settles will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Momence.
Memorials may be made for Masses and for the Aroma Township Fire Department.
Mrs. Koenig died Thursday (Oct. 21, 1993) at St. Mary's Hospital in Kankakee.
She was born June 30, 1923 in Momence, the daughter of James and Elizabeth "Bessy" Morse Evers.
She married W. Newton Koenig on Aug. 14, 1939 in Momence. He died Oct. 3, 1993.
Surviving are a son-in-law, Gerald Arseneau Sr. of St. Anne; grandchildren, Gerald and Ruth Arseneau Jr., Julie and Joann Arseneau all of St. Anne; great-grandchildren, Gerald and Ryan Arseneau; a brother and sister-in-law, Lester and Betty Evers of Bedford, Ind.; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Eldo LaFond of St. Anne and Mickie and Walter Allen of Mitchell, Ind.
She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, her parents and a brother.
Mrs. Koenig was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.
