FUNERAL RITES HELD FOR ALFRED E. HAPKE

Funeral services for Alfred E. Hapke, 80, of Texico were conducted Monday, Feb. 16, at 1 p.m. in Steed-Todd Chapel in Clovis. Officiating was Ken White Sr. and Gene Phillips of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Burial was in the Texico Cemetery under the direction of Steed-Todd Funeral Home.

Mr. Hapke died Thursday, Feb. 12, at his home in Texico. He was born December 18, 1900 in Ashton, Neb., and had lived in this area since 1948. His wife, Nellie Madge, preceded him in death March 18, 1972. An infant son also preceded him in death.

Survivors include three sons, Richard Hapke of Alexandria, Va., Frank Hapke of Yukon, Okla., and Robert Hapke of Honolulu; four daughters, Joan Crosby of Mesquite, Tex., Naomi Hapkie of Los Alamos, N. M., Audrey Kittrell of Texico and Dorothy Hancock of Lubbock, Tex.; fourteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers were Bill Craft, Keith Scott, T. J. Kittrell, Perry Winkles, Gayle Doolittle and Kenneth Workheiser.
