IDA ARNOLD

Mrs. Ida Arnold, 86, 824 Sixth St., Kiel, died Sunday afternoon at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital. She was stricken with a heart attack at her home Friday.Born April 28, 1875, in the Town of Meeme, she was a daughter of the late Herman and Katherine Raeder Schwalenberg and received her education in the district school. She was baptized and confirmed at Bethel United Church of Christ in the Town of Herman.
On Nov. 14, 1894, she was married to Fred Arnold of the Town of Meeme. After their marriage the couple operated a farm in the Town of Schleswig until 1917 when they moved to Kiel. Her husband died in June, 1942, and one son, Robert, in 1926.
Mrs. Arnold was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ in Kiel, the Frauen Verein of the church and the Kasper-Beckley-Wilkens American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Hilda Lilge of New Holstein, Mrs. Viola Drott of Sheboygan, Mrs. Lydia Klauck of East St. Louis, Mrs. Henry W. (Leona) Schulz of Milwaukee; three sons, Fred Jr., Oscar L. and Hubert, all of Kiel; 15 grandchildren, and 32 great-grandchildren.
Seven sisters and four brothers also preceded her in death.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Peter United Church of Christ in Kiel. The Rev. Vernon E. Jaberg, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Kiel Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home in Kiel from 3 p.m. Tuesday until 11 a.m. Wednesday and then at the church beginning at noon.
